RIP Val Kilmer

Writer: kerripomkerripom
We always have this fantasy that our icons are going to live forever.

This one cuts deep - I just thought Iceman would be here for us a lot longer. This reminds me of how I felt when we lost Robin Williams, George Michael, Prince, and Michael Jackson.  It feels like a piece of my childhood is dying.
He wasn't just acting - he WAS IceMan to us.

Val Kilmer - RIP

My dad is 86 years old and we had a serious talk last night about how he feels that all of his friends are sick or dying. It's like he's in this weird episode of Survivor that never ends.

I don't know how to put into words what Val Kilmer meant to my generation...not only as an artist, but an icon and symbol of everything we grew up with. He seemed immortal even when he battled his cancer.

You should buy his autobiography - it's incredible! HE was incredible!

I know I didn't know him personally but I'm really mourning his loss. God's peace to his friends and family.

This hurts.

This really hurts.

Iceman - a real genius. I hope I see you again one day. RIP Val Kilmer.

Cheers,
